Howdee's tiny space experience

Howdee's tiny space experience is an arcade game inspired by the much older arcade game lunar lander. In this physics-based space adventure, the player’s goal is to gather minerals from the different asteroids scattered around the level to get as high score as possible.

My Contributions

After you've landed on a platform, that platform will be marked red, rendering it permanently deactivated. This will effectively put a limit to how much score a player can ultimately get.

The platforms has a gravitational pull when you get close to it.

Platforms

An amount of fuel will be recharged at your disposal (1/3 of max fuel recharged).

An amount of HP repaired (1/4 of max HP repaired).

Your backpack will empty. Relieving you of the weight of the crystals. The amount of crystals you have inside the backpack multiplied by the platform difficulty is the amount of score you will get.

The multiplier of a platform is assessed by two factors:

How much fuel is needed to get there.

The precision needed to land.

Score Multipliers

Similar to Lunar Lander, the controls are heavy. Together with the limited fuel, the player needs to move around with careful precision.

As you mine minerals you get heavier and harder to control, expending more fuel as you move.

Movement & Mass

The closer you are to the crystals, the faster you mine them.

-

There's an added risk when doing so because the asteroids explode when they're depleted.

-

The control of the robot gets harder the more minerals you have stored in your backpack.

-

More points are added when landing the harder the platforms are to land on.
